What is the Reinert Lab?

The Reinert lab consists of two research groups: The Algorithmic Bioinformatics group at the Freie Universität Berlin (FUB) and the Efficient Algorithms for Omics Data group at the Max Planck Institute for Molecular Genetics (MPIMG).

Research

We research algorithms for NGS and Proteomics data and their efficient implementations. The Reinert lab has groups at the Freie Universität Berlin and the Max-Planck Institute for Molecular Genetics.

Teaching

The lab teaches on BSc, MSc and PhD level in the Bionformatics courses at Freie Universität Berlin. We employ traditional and novel learning concept like e-learning and inverted classrooms.

People

Under "Members" is a list of people in the groups at the FU and the MPI as well as a list of former group members. This includes PhD students, student assistants as well as staff members.

Collaborations

The Reinert lab aims at bridging the gap between tool developers and experimentalist. Our partners are mostly users of -omics data and algorithmicists and developers of hardware accelerators..
